Set up AxCrypt on macOS

Install AxCrypt on your Mac, sign in, and protect files with the current macOS desktop app for Apple silicon and Intel devices.

Before you begin

Check compatibility

  • macOS 12 Monterey or later
  • Apple silicon and Intel Mac support
  • Universal package available
  • Separate arm64 and x64 packages available when needed

Download options

Choose the right installer

Use the recommended package for your device, or choose a specific package when your setup requires it.

Choose the Mac package

Use the standard macOS package for most installs. If needed, choose the Apple silicon arm64 or Intel x64 package from the download options.

Install AxCrypt

Open the package, follow the installer prompts, then launch AxCrypt from Applications.

Sign in and unlock features

Sign in with your AxCrypt account to access encryption, secure sharing, Password Manager, Cloud Security, and Vault features supported by your plan.

Secure files on your Mac

Use the AxCrypt desktop app to encrypt, open, decrypt, share, rename, or manage protected files from one place.
