Encrypting files on desktop

There are 3 ways to encrypt:

Secure button
Drag&Drop
Right-click menu

Encrypting files on mobile (Android/iOS)

  1. Open the AxCrypt app

  2. Tap Secure

  3. Select the file provider (Authorize if required)

  4. Browse and tap on the file(s)

About Cloud Storage:

  • Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive encryption are supported on iOS and Android.

  • Local storage file encryption is also available on Android.

Decrypting files on desktop

There are 3 ways to decrypt:

Stop Secure button
App Right- Click Context Menu
Windows Right-Click Menu

Decrypting files on mobile (Android/iOS)

  1. Open the AxCrypt mobile app

  2. Log in with your AxCrypt account

  3. Tap Stop secure.

  4. Select the file provider (Authorize if required)

  5. Browse and tap on the .axx file(s)

    Quick Tips

      Files once encrypted will have an extension .axx

      Always use strong, complex passwords and remember not to forget it. AxCrypt is encryption with no backdoors. Without the password your files are lost. Do not forget your password! Always keep proper backups of important files, encrypted or not.

      AxCrypt 2 can decrypt files from AxCrypt 1, but not vice versa.
